Born in the Bay. Built for the Brotherhood.
At J&R Leatherworks, this isn’t just about leather—it’s about legacy. I’m Jose Garcia, a full-time Fire Captain, proud member of B-Shift, and founder of this firehouse-born brand. Every stitch, every strap, every burnished edge in my shop carries the same passion I bring to the rig. Because this job? It ain’t just something we do—it’s something we are.
J&R started like most things in the fire service: with a need, a little grit, and the drive to do it right. I built my first strap because I was tired of gear that looked “tactical” but couldn’t survive a first-due fire. Word spread fast—from truck to truck, shift to shift—until J&R Leatherworks became the go-to for those who wanted real gear made by someone who gets it.
We run this shop the way we run a fireground: no shortcuts, no gimmicks, no quit. Everything’s made by hand using thick, fire-ready leather, real hardware, and old-school pride. From custom radio straps and helmet bands to dog leashes for your firehouse mascot, if it leaves our bench, it’s ready for the street.
But more than the gear, this is about culture.
The kind you only understand if you’ve mopped the bay at 0600, roasted the probie for calling the ladder a “truck,” and still throw a Halligan in the backseat “just in case.”
We clown each other, we push each other, and when the tones drop—we ride together. That same bond is sewn into every J&R piece. This is for the ones who live the job, love the job, and respect the weight that comes with it.
J&R Leatherworks.
B-Shift Built. Fireground Proven.
Because the job doesn’t deserve anything less.
